New construction is a blank slate - and that means every decision matters, including how you handle heating and cooling. On this build in Vista, we went with a ductless mini-split system. No duct work to run through finished walls, no bulky equipment taking up floor space. Just clean, efficient comfort from day one.
Mini-splits are a great fit for new builds because you're not retrofitting anything. Everything gets planned and placed before the space is occupied. That means the wall unit sits exactly where it needs to be for maximum airflow coverage - centered, high on the wall, and out of the way.
What we like about this setup is how unobtrusive it is. The indoor unit blends right into the space. The room stays open, the walls stay clean, and whoever moves in gets a system that's ready to handle whatever San Diego County summers throw at it.
Ductless systems also give you zone control. That's a big deal in new construction where different rooms or areas might need different temperature settings. Instead of one thermostat running the whole building, each unit handles its own zone. More control, less wasted energy.
Whether it's a single room or a full multi-zone setup, mini-split installs on new construction jobs are something we do well. Getting it right at the build stage is a lot easier than trying to add cooling after the fact.
